Listen, agree,
play the scene.

Scenes fail for one reason far more than any other: both players arrived with an idea and neither heard a word the other said. Everything else is technique on top of listening.

The programs

Four programs, all played live in session

Improv can't be learned from a lecture. Every session you're on your feet, playing, with notes immediately after.

How it works

Play, watch, adjust

Every session is scenes on your feet. Notes come straight after, while you still remember the choice you made.

Free intro call

Twenty minutes on your experience and what you find hard.

Play live every session

Scenes with a coach and other players, not exercises on paper.

Watch one recording

Once, without cringing. Twice if you can manage it.

Written notes

Within 48 hours: the pattern in your play and one thing to try next.

How we work

Not a theater, not therapy

The Talent Lab casts nobody, places nobody on a team and takes no commission. Local theaters do that, and we'll happily help you prepare for their auditions.

Improv is also not therapy, and we're careful about that line. It builds confidence and quick thinking as a side effect of practice; it isn't treatment, and we don't run sessions as though it were.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Does improv work over video?

Better than people expect for scene work, listening and character. Group forms and physical ensemble play are harder, and we're honest about which parts need a room.

I'm not funny.

Good — funny people often make the worst improvisers because they're writing instead of listening. The skill is reacting honestly.

Will this help me at work?

Many people find it helps with thinking on their feet and listening. That's a side effect; we coach improv, not corporate training.

Can you get me on a team?

No. We're not a theater and we don't cast. We will prepare you for auditions and tell you honestly when you're ready.

I freeze up completely.

Extremely common, and the first program is built for it. Small groups, short scenes and a coach who won't let you drown.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contract, no minimum term. Access stays open until the end of the month you already paid for.
